Fire preparedness is the responsibility of each and every customer and employee. Each customer floor should appoint a Fire Warden, an alternate Fire Warden, an Exit Monitor, and a Searcher who will direct and guide personnel and visitors in the event of fire or other emergencies. The Security Manager will coordinate and instruct the wardens and alternates. The Emergency Team should present an Emergency and Fire Prevention Orientation Program for employees so that they 1) become familiar with the locations of the Fire Alarm Pull Station, Fire Extinguishers, and Fire Exits; 2) know the Fire Departments and The Crescent Security Control Center’s phone numbers and approved evacuation routes; 3) can use fire extinguishers safely. Finally, employees should understand the importance of obeying the instructions of Fire Wardens, Security Officers, Firemen and Police Officers in all emergencies.
