The heart of Crescent’s commitment to the community is FACES of Change® a unique adopt-a-school program Crescent began in 1997. Through this program, Crescent properties are partnered with local elementary schools that serve at-risk students and families. FACES of Change partnerships bring Crescent employees, customers, and business partners together to provide volunteer time, financial and in-kind gifts to partner schools. Since its inception, FACES of Change has established more than 80 successful business-to-school partnerships that have impacted the lives of over 30,000 children nationwide.

The Crescent® is a proud participant of the FACES of Change program and is in a new three year partnership with John F. Kennedy Learning Center in Dallas. They enroll approximately 600 student’s grades pre-K-5th grade with a staff of 40 teachers. The school staff connects with parents and the community to ensure student success. Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. The staff hosts monthly support workshops for parents on subjects from health to homework. Other parent involvement opportunities include assisting in classrooms and participating in PTA. We hope to make a difference and provide for much of their needs during our FACES of Change Partnership also making a great impact within the school and community.
